Department of Computer Science

Department of Computer Science, Mankar College, has been imparting quality education to students for over two decades. This department is a pioneer in starting under graduate Computer Science course under the University of Burdwan, way back in 1999. This department has already undertaken research projects funded by various funding agencies. The department has modern well-designed class rooms and are well equipped for adopting modern teaching aids like LCD projectors, Smart Class Rooms etc.

The laboratories are well equipped with latest equipment, demonstration kits, charts etc. Effective and reasonable use of ICT – Google form of assignments is encouraged among students. The department has played a key role in making it one of the best in the University, known not only for its placement assistance but also for its focus on student centric learning. The students of this department are working in India and aboard with reputed MNCs like TCS, CTS, Wipro, IBM etc and in different government organisations, Banks, PSUs.

The department believes in not only developing academically oriented students but also shaping their personalities by exposing them to a variety of co-curricular & extracurricular activities like:

The department since its inception produces several University rank holders till date.
